We all worship something. Our culture is full of false gods to which we offer our time, attention, energy, and affection. Each glittery god promises security and satisfaction, but; in the end, never truly delivers. These glitter gods are riches, status, and comfort. Whenever we are distracted by the shiny idols in our lives, they steal us away from the only One worthy of our worship.

Celebration Sunday is an opportunity to reflect and celebrate what God is doing at and through the congregation at Mount Zion Global Methodist Church. Members will have the opportunity to share their testimonies on how God is working in their lives.

SERMON SERIES • Empty to be Filled

God doesn't force His way into our lives. Space for Him to fill is created only when we choose to empty ourselves first. Scripture tells us that Christ Jesus himself made himself nothing—emptying himself—to give us life. This act of emptying is not resignation; it is an act of faith that prepares a place for God. In this sermon series, we will explore the grace of God that begins to fill us to overflowing the moment we begin to empty ourselves.
