Children's Christmas Musical: "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" - 9:30 AM Contemporary Service

We invite you to join us at our 9:30 AM Service on Sunday, December 21st as our Next Generation Ministry presents their Children’s Christmas Musical: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!” The children have been hard at work this fall preparing for the musical and look forward to sharing this work with you as they focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

About the musical: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a comedic play about the Herdman siblings, notorious for their disruptive behavior, who unexpectedly take over the church's annual Christmas pageant. The story follows their chaotic involvement and the community's initial shock as they navigate the Christmas story through the Herdmans' unique lens. The play explores the true meaning of Christmas, as well as unexpected grace and joy in the midst of mayhem.

For questions about how to get your children involved in our Next Generation Ministry offerings, please contact our Next Generation Minister, Jenni Ackerman: jenni@mountziongmc.org

Longest Night Service

We invite you to join us on Monday, December 22nd at 6:30 PM in the Chapel for our Longest Night Service.

The longest night of the year happens in December, a time of year that many are feeling the winter blues, where past memories and present experiences are often too overwhelming to deal with during the holiday season.

During the Longest Night Service, there will be candle lighting, hymns, prayer, and scripture readings for you to reflect upon.

The Longest Night service is a reminder that you are not alone; please come worship with us as we find comfort and hope that only Jesus can bring to us through His love.

Refreshments will be available following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Christmas Eve Eve Candlelight Communion Service

We invite you to join us for our Christmas Eve Eve Candlelight Communion Service on Tuesday, December 23rd at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. This service will also be livestreamed on our website (Watch Tab) and Facebook Page.

About our Candlelight Communion Service: Jesus is the Light of the World, he is the Light that dispels darkness, a Light that the darkness can never put out. The candle, and its flame, symbolizes this Light.

The Christ candle is lit on Christmas Eve and brings our focus on Christ. On that evening, we all share the light from that one flame; candles are lit one-by-one, symbolic of spreading the message of Jesus Christ’s birth, from one person to another.

We pass the flame, spreading the message, and taking His Light out into our community and into the world.
